Hot in there!
Marty and Wayne mention how hot it is at Wrigleyside on this particular night...must have been the tunes because warmth is not the first thing that comes to mind for January in Chicago (as I watch heavy snow fall outside my window while I type this). Overall a pretty good show - Rob flubs the opening of "Sweet Home Chicago" (right before the drums come in) but love how Rob, Wayne, and Marty each take a verse - why didn't they keep playing that tune like that over the next several years?? Love that Wayne refers to Dixie Dynamite as "Brian's girlfriend" (the soundman), it's actually inspired by a girl from a porn mag. Nice soloing and scat vocals from Wayne in "Feelin' Alright", and an interesting Colors --> Deep Ellum --> Colors jam (you can tell that Wayne wrote the riff to "Colors of the Light" from the riff to "Deep Ellum." Marty sounds great during his "vocal jam" in "Peace by Piece" from 5:00 to 5:35. Wayne says the bar is open until 2:30am and they'll be playing another 85 minutes, makes me feel old...haven't seen 2:30am at a bar in about 7-8 years!
